Organizing your time as a blogger Part 1
Running a blog is certainly time consuming, at least if you consider it worth the fuss and value your work. So, how should you efficiently organize your blogging time so as to enjoy life away from the computer?
If you want to be seriously involved with your blog, you should make sure you update it on a regular basis. Then, when your blog becomes popular, you will find out that you may need to post even daily in order to sustain the volume of inbound traffic you have achieved.
If you do not do so there is a good chance you will lose many of the frequent visitors that comprise you blog’s solid popular base. They are the ones that have probably read all the posts in your blog, found them interesting and decided to keep on visiting your website for new, exciting material.
This type of visitors, the regular ones, is the backbone of your blog’s inbound traffic. The percentage of first time or occasional visitors generally fluctuates and is not to be relied upon. Frequent visitors provide a steady, reliable inbound traffic rate, which you can then trade off to a good advertising deal.
If you cease to provide them with fresh posts though, you solid base will gradually diminish. You should aim to preserve and expand it.
That means you will have to gradually increase the hours you spend blogging. This is the point where most decide to monetize their blog. They devote so much of their time they need to make up for it by securing some revenue. After all, time is money.
So no you have an idea of how much time you have to spend if you decide to embark on the challenging but rewarding journey to the blogosphere. In the next post we will discuss how you can cope with this time consuming project.
